This gig from the Shearer line-up was recorded at Newcastle City Hall on 26th October 1979. Great drum kit, great audience and a great noise! This show, we thought, had a
unique energy, redolent of the time and was well worth preserving for this
release.

This CD Box Set offers you the opportunity to revisit the Hackett live experience in three different decades. It includes many favourites from the early days, rarely heard live since, and a 40 page booklet crammed with unseen photos and insights from Hackett himself on the times and the tunes.
CDs 1 & 2 showcase the 70s with a complete 2 hour performance at the legendary Hammersmith Odeon. CD3 is an outdoor concert recorded at Rome's Castel Sant' Angelo and Hackett describes this as "possibly the best this line up ever performed". The 90s show sees Hackett back in London's Grand Theatre with a band featuring "the fearsome drumming of Hugo Degenhardt, the virtuoso bass of Doug Sinclair and the one-man orchestra of Julian Colbeck!" and is again a demonstration of six string power and virtuosity. |

These incredibly happy memories would be incomplete without acknowledging the input and support of Kim Poor from stage and lighting designs to numerous superb album covers - as ever with love from Steve.
