Steve Hackett
returns to the US concert circuit in Fall 2005. This time however the
strobe lights and bass pedals get left behind as his acoustic trio
takes to the stage for an ‘unplugged’ show of beautifully crafted
pieces for acoustic guitar, flute and keyboards. Hackett will be
accompanied by his brother, John, on flute and keyboardist Roger King. Hackett says “I’m really looking forward to bringing the acoustic trio to the USA for the first time. We’ll be playing selections from all solo periods and the French Impressionists but nothing too purist and the occasional hint of jazz. Even a couple of Genesis tunes too!” |

John Hackett studied music at Sheffield University and, subsequently, flute with Edward Beckett and David Butt. He has toured and recorded extensively with his brother, Steve, in addition to frequent appearances as a soloist with the English Flute Quartet. His solo performances have included concertos by Mozart, Vivaldi and Arnold. In recent years he has worked with the ambient group Symbiosis and released his first solo album, Velvet Afternoon, in 2004. |

After graduating from Surrey University with a degree in Music & Sound Engineering he spent six formative years as an inhouse recording engineer and music producer for Island Music and Island Records and has also worked on high profile movies such as "Cliffhanger" and "In The Name Of The Father". |
